Watch full set 50 minute performance at International Festival of Arts & Ideas on YouTube
On Wednesday, June 15, 2016 jazz quartet "Stanley Maxwell" performed for the first time as part of the International Festival of Arts & Ideas on the First Niagara Stage, located on the New Haven Green in New Haven, Connecticut.
The band celebrated their 15th anniversary as a band in 2016. The group plays original music that blends tight arrangements with intricate group improvisations, combining the virtuosic and the simple into a visceral concoction. Other previous appearances in New Haven have included Bottega, the New Haven Jazz Festival at the Pilot Pen Tennis Tournament, Toad's Place, WYBC, and Yale University.
